"I Pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
Francis J. Bellamy wrote the above pledge. Did you notice anything missing? Like, one Nation under God? That's because it was not in the original pledge. The U.S. Congress added the phrase, "one Nation under God", in 1954. The cold war was raging and the U.S congress wanted to show the "godless" Soviet Union that we had God and that he was on our side!
You will not likely hear any of our so-called “Christian” leaders mention this fact. Whether it's an intentional omission or out of ignorance, who knows, either way it is inexcusable for any preacher, pastor or christian leader of any stripe to teach such non-truths about this issue. These are the same red white and blue eyed folk that spew lies about America being a "Christian Nation" and other non-sense to the easily duped congregants in the assemblies of the indoctrinated.

Francis Bellamy was a Fabian Socialist, a member of an occult brotherhood. A Freemason member of the Little Falls Masonic Lodge No. 181, Little Falls NY. The initial pledge was published in "The Youth's Companion" magazine on Sept 8, 1892 in Boston.
One nation under god -- What god?
When we face the Red, White, and Blue with our hands over our hearts (a masonic gesture) and speak of "one nation under god", what God are we speaking to? Maybe it's the god of the U.S. one dollar bill? You know --"In god we trust". That god of the one-dollar bill with the equilateral triangle, all-seeing Eye of Osiris, and the Egyptian pyramid. All symbols of Freemasonry. Or is this just a generic 3-letter word used by all faiths?
Fear mongers lies about it's removal
I get sick of hearing the wackos talk about how terrible it will be for America if the phrase "one nation under god' is removed or not allowed in our schools and other institutions. That it will bring cataclysmic moral and ethical decline to this "Christian" nation. How absolutely silly this argument is! My questions to those that speak such nonsense is; has the United States, its morals and ethics improved since 1954 when this phrase was included? Are the morals within our schools improved since 1954? Is our society in general better since 1954? If the answer is "no", then why would anyone be upset with the possibility of its removal?
Followers of Jesus Christ should welcome it's removal!
After all the pledge of allegiance is really an oath. Jesus said that we should not swear oaths, but to let our "yes be yes” and our “no be no” (Matthew 5:33-37). And why in the wide world would any Believer pledge allegiance to such a Masonic symbol as the flag of the United States? Did Jesus pledge allegiance to Rome?
Why would a follower of Christ want their school aged children placing hands over their hearts, “a Masonic gesture”, pledging allegiance to the flag of America? Why would any true believer want them to take part in a solemn ritual of Pagans? What does this have to do with the King of kings and the Lord of lords? Is it not blasphemy?
Freemasonry teaches "the Fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of man." The Bible says that all who have not become a child of God by becoming reconciled to God through Jesus Christ are an enemy of God! The United States was not founded by Christian men or on Christian principles. This country was founded by illuminists, and these philosophers are still in power. (See my article title “A Christian Nation…oh Really?”)
The more one looks into the history of Francis Bellamy and the Pledge, the more questions arise as to what has really been going on. I encourage you to re-examine whether you, as a follower of Jesus, or your children, ought to be taking part in this Masonic ritual.
As for me ... I do Not pledge allegiance to any flag. I pledge my allegiance to the King. For I live in a monarchy and am a subject, a servant of King Jesus.
Peace be unto you,
Dale
